The Affiliated Staffing Group is a Staffing Industry Association of non-competing, independently owned companies that wish to share best practices and processes with like staffing companies. ASGroup is located throughout the United States with member offices in 27 states with over 140 offices coast-to-coast.

Our first “Social Media Mastermind Meeting” is scheduled for this Wednesday, July 22 at 12pm EST. The first meeting will be an organizational meeting to discuss meeting format and objectives. This will be a great way for all members to share Blogs for recruitment and to learn how to gain the most out of the fast growing social networking strategy to grow recruitment and sales.

We’ve incorporated a new member directory map in to the ASGroup.com website. You can see an image of the map below and the real thing is in the Membership Directory portion of the site. Using Google Maps, we created a marker for every branch office for member companies on the map. You can view the contact info by clicking on the markers. If we missed any of locations please let us know and we will make the correction.

Welcome to the new ASGroup member site. As we discussed at the May meeting, the networking section of the site will be used as a communication tool for the group and its member companies. You’ll no longer have to sift through countless emails from various member discussions. Documents from the group meetings will be stored here for your reference. Plus, much, much more… Please, take a moment to read the brief introduction to the site below.

At the meeting in Lancaster we discussed that because of the last minute news about Ning.com we needed to change the platform for the site at the last minute, so because of that the site may appear a bit rough around the edges. We are working to get everything up and running as soon as possible so that you can have the best experience possible. With that said let me tell you about what you can expect from the site.

There will be three sections to the site:

• A front end which will be available to the public and will act as an introduction to the group. We encourage you to send any non-members that would like to learn more about the group to this section.
• A networking section, this section is for members only (you will need to login) and will be used for members to communicate with each other for referrals, business practices, etc. It will also be used for updates for the group, as well as scheduling events and meetings. • A blogging section, this section is where we offer a blogging platform for group members. With this members will be able to pool their resources and share blog posts with other members.
